About the event

We are excited to announce the Project Girl Mentoring Program's (PGMP) 3rd Annual 5K Walk/Run!

When South Africa’s Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe in 2019, she gave a response to a question about what we should be teaching young women and girls that brought down the house.

She said, “We should be given every opportunity. And that is what we should be teaching these young girls: to take up space. Nothing is as important as taking up space in society and cementing yourself.”

Her quote inspired our annual theme, “Take Up Space”, for the Project Girl Mentoring Program (PGMP) 5K.

The 5K will take place on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at 10 am.
